  • Our evidence based program is built on four pillars of support for clients - CBT, nutritional Rehabilitation, Neuroscience and Mindfulness/Self-Compassion
  • Each of these pillars address a specific and important aspect of emotional and binge eating. The program is trauma informed throughout as the majority of clients began emotional eating in response to an adverse experience
  • As a practitioner you will not work directly with any old traumatic experience, but you must know how to take it into consideration throughout your work with clients. Emotional and binge eating is never about food, it's about feelings.

Four Pillars of Intervention

CBT

  • Reduce episodes of Bingeing and Emotional Eating

  • Break the ‘all or nothing’ thinking trap

  • Connect thoughts to feelings to behaviours

Neuroscience

  • Reset the brain to break Autopilots and Habit Loops

  • Learn how to self-soothe without food

  • Create new neural pathways

Nutrition

  • Rehabilitate the gut and health through Specialist Nutrition

  • Un-learn food and diet rules

  • Learn how to Nourish, not Punish with food

Mindfulness

  • Re-Program the negative critical voice to be nourishing, not punishing.

  • Separates the past from the present.

The Eating Freely training course is one of the best I’ve ever taken. The teaching provided by the therapists, coaches and dieticians was top-notch - insightful, practical, and delivered with so much compassion. As a coach, I started applying the tools I learned with clients during the training, and they experienced huge breakthroughs, a testimony to the power of what I learned in this training. And as a physician, I appreciated the evidenced-based nature of everything we learned and the expertise demonstrated by the instructors.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this training to both physician and coach colleagues working in the binge eating space.

As a coach with my own personal experience in emotional eating and BED, I was interested in working in this area but was unsure how to begin supporting clients with such a complex topic. Not only was the Eating Freely training fascinating on a personal level, but it gave me the knowledge and confidence I needed to support clients fully and safely.

I'm now confident that I have a well-structured program to offer clients and as a Licensed Practitioner, I'm able to lean on the network of therapists, nutritionists and coaches. The support of the network has been invaluabvle as a someone with a solo coaching practice.

What I love about this program is taking the weight loss component out of the picture, clients immediately feel a sense of ease with this. I myself struggled as an anorexic years ago. There is so much of this program that hits home with me, and I feel I can reflect back to my clients to really help them in their binge and emotional eating struggles.

Thank you so very much for all the time you have taken with us and our company. We are truly grateful for your expertise. I also love how candid you are in the videos and how you made me laugh out loud! You made the program very enjoyable to learn.

I learnt a lot during this time but it was through the Eating Freely Program that I was able to pull all my learnings together. I now feel incredibly empowered by the perspective that this training gave me – an understanding of the bigger picture.

I feel this training is an important investment for any health care professional who wants to work with clients in a way that is realistic and has real outcomes. It was a very worthwhile experience and I look forward to using the structure that this program has given me with many future clients.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working through the various practical tools shared week after week. This has allowed me to bring useful tools into the space with my clients, allowing for a focused discussion.

I really feel that this is a 'done-for-you' specialist program, and that is why the training and licensing is definitely worth the fee - I started working with clients during the training and have already started to generate new income as a specialist in this new area. I am excited to be part of an international community of like-minded professionals too - that support is invaluable for me.

Having worked as a therapist in Eating Disorders services in the UK for over a decade I was very curious to learn more about the Eating Freely approach to therapy for people with emotional eating. I have to say that found the whole program to be extremely comprehensive! Emma has used her vast knowledge and experience of working with clients to produce a well tested and systematic approach to tackling binge eating.

The value for me was extraordinary. The course challenged me to dig deeper, to reconnect with my passion for this work. I am forever grateful.

Honestly, I think that this course is amazing - practical, concise and so useful. I think the price is so reasonable for the value - even for us in South Africa where most training fees are a challenge because of our currency exchange rate.
